about the artist 

André Willequet was a Belgian artist born in 1921 in Etterbeek and passed away in 1998 in Uccle. He was a sculptor, draftsman, and designer of medals and jewelry. Initially working in wood and designing totemic sculptures, he later also worked in stone and bronze. Balancing between the figurative and the non-figurative, Willequet maintained a reference to life throughout his artistic works.
