Why did you choose this name for your beach bar?

My parents in law started the business located opposite the Lichttorenplein 17 years ago. The name is a well known, recognized venue amongst the beach bars in Knokke-Heist. It is also symbolic: just like a beaming lighthouse we want to be a beacon of light, cosiness and warmth where everyone can relax in an amiable, family friendly atmosphere.

What makes your beach unique?

We offer a true family beach where everyone feels at home. There is a spacious play area for little ones and older children, including slides, swings, a climbing frame, colourful baby changing facilities and children’s toilets. Would you like to sit back and relax with a glass of champagne or a homemade cocktail? Recline in our lounge! Feel like playing a game of boules on the pétanque court? No problem! During high season we organise gin & tonic tastings and special cocktail days. To put it in a nutshell, there’s something for everyone on a delightful day at Lichttorenstrand!

What should visitors to the beach definitely sample in your establishment?
