Choose a quiet time to visit Light ART in Knokke-Heist

Knokke-Heist always likes to put some sparkle into the festive season. And this extraordinary year is no exception, with the city adding even more cheer and light to its streets. In addition to the glittering Christmas lights, nine light artworks have been installed on the city’s streets as part of Light ART. The light artworks are well spread out across Knokke-Heist’s commercial centre, with plenty of space around the artworks. Face masks are compulsory along the entire Light ART route and stewards will monitor the situation to ensure that walkers observe social distancing. So you can stay safe during your walk.

Extra tip: choose a quiet time

Here are some tips to make your walk a pleasant experience and ensure that you can safely enjoy all the artworks.

- Don’t forget your face mask and observe social distancing.
- Keep the current measures in mind. Maximum 4 people per group, unless your household has more members.
- Choose a quiet time, start your walk after 7 pm, and if possible visit on a Sunday evening or on a weekday during the Christmas holidays.
- Try to spread your visits. During the weekend, holidays and when the weather is nice, it is often busier in the commercial centre. We notice the following levels of activity: 5 pm - 6.30 pm BUSIER THAN USUAL / 6.30 - 8 PM PLEASANTLY BUSY / 8 pm – 9 pm QUIET
- You can also postpone your visit, as LightART runs until 3 January.
- Check the crowd barometer before leaving.

Alternative walks

Are you in Knokke-Heist but is the Light ART route a little too busy for your liking? There are plenty of alternatives for a fun evening.

- Head to Lippenslaan to discover some of the instagrammable spots on our Instagram route . While some of the locations are currently closed, many of them still provide tasty and insta worthy take-away options.
