Offer De Lijn until January 6, 2024

In the territory of Knokke-Heist, a bus leaves every hour to the far corners of the municipality:

Bus 12 runs via Het Zoute to De Oosthoek.

Bus 3 runs via Heist to Ramskapelle

Bus 44 runs via the hospital to Westkapelle.

In Westkapelle you can change trains to continue your journey to Bruges or to Sluis/Breskens via line 42.
During off-peak hours, there is also a direct bus to Bruges on the odd hours (9.30 a.m., 11.30 a.m., 1.30 p.m. and 3.30 p.m.) (Line 41).

De Lijn offer as from January 6, 2024

From January 6, 2024, there may be changes to the familiar bus routes and on offer. At that time, De Lijn will introduce the next phase of Hoppin, the Flemish government's new mobility vision.

Line 41: Bruges - B-park - Dudzele - Westkapelle - Knokke
From now on, this line also passes Knokke Het Zoute and Oosthoek. The bus runs:

  • every hour between Bruges and Knokke;
  • every half hour between Westkapelle and Knokke Oosthoek;
  • from now on also on Friday and Saturday nights (until about 2 a.m.) between Knokke, Westkapelle, Dudzele and Bruges.
     

Line 42: Bruges - Dudzele - Westkapelle - Sluis - Breskens
This line runs every hour between Bruges, Dudzele, Westkapelle and Breskens.

New line 48: Knokke AZ Zeno - Ramskapelle - Blankenberge AZ Zeno
With this new line you travel smoothly between both campuses of AZ Zeno (Knokke & Blankenberge):

  • via Ramskapelle, Heist and Zeebrugge;
  • on weekdays, a bus runs approximately every two hours.

New name line 455: Maldegem - Moerkerke - Knokke - Zeebrugge
The connection gets the new line number 455 and this line only runs in function of schools.

Flex transport from 6 January 2023

In places where there is less public transport or where demand is limited, there will be flex transport from January 6, 2024 that you can book in advance via Hoppin. Reservations can be made from December 6, 2023.

Good to know

  • Contact the Hoppincentral via the app, website or 0800 12 2 12.
  • Create an account once via the app, website or by phone.
  • Booking on time is important, request your ride in advance.
  • De Lijn's fares and tickets are valid on the flexbus.
  • For each booking, the most suitable solution for you is considered. This can be the flexbus, but also (a combination of) a regular line, streetcar or even the train.
     

From January 6, 2024 it will also be possible to book a direct transfer from Knokke Station to the Zwin Nature Park. Sign up for this by phone at the Hoppincentrale (0800 12 2 12).
