As you enter Knokke-Heist by car, you are greeted by Jean-François Fourtou’s tower made out of beach cabins. It seems as if the cabins were lifted up in the air by a large gust of wind and scattered around, after which they happened to get stuck together and just left like that.

About the artist

Born in Paris in 1964, Jean-François Fourtou lives and works in Morocco. While becoming known for his unique animal sculptures during the 1990s, he has been fascinated by architecture for many years.
